Atos expands its partnership with OVHcloud

(AOF) – Atos announced the extension of its new Atos OneCloud Sovereign Shield initiative by expanding its existing partnership with OVHcloud to provide new bundled offerings and a common research and development framework. The two European leaders will provide a sovereign cloud solution for large French organizations.

OVHcloud and Atos will configure a public cloud solution that will be deployed in Atos data centers in France in order to offer a leading 100% European cloud platform, relying on the OVHcloud Data Center as-a-Service for offer IaaS and PaaS capabilities, while combining Atos cybersecurity and decarbonisation solutions, as well as its “bare metal” solutions.

Atos customers will have access to hybrid cloud configurations, combining OVHcloud’s public cloud solution with Atos’ Digital Hybrid Cloud solution for private cloud. The joint offering will enable customers to benefit from the capabilities of public cloud and fully sovereign cloud management services, full regulatory compliance and unparalleled cybersecurity protection.

A joint initiative has been launched to determine how OVHcloud customers in France will also be able to benefit from Atos data centers, in order to offer them cloud solutions that are relevant to their activities.

Atos and OVHcloud will also collaborate on new joint R&D initiatives for the future evolution of their platforms.

Atos and OVHcloud thus intend to enrich the catalog of OVHcloud BareMetal solutions by developing proof of concepts integrating Atos BullSequana S servers, optimized for SAP and critical workloads.

The Atos Quantum computer simulation technology and its Quantum Learning Machine will also be tested by OVHcloud as-a-Service in the OVHcloud datacenter. The objective is to offer researchers and students access to quantum computing.

OVHcloud will contribute to Atos’ commitments in favor of decarbonation, and in particular its Decarbonization Level Agreements (DLA) by providing reports on its carbon emissions for sustainable cloud computing, including on common solutions of Atos and OVHcloud.

Similarly, OVHcloud customers will be able to directly access Atos’ MyC02Compass carbon data platform to accelerate their ambitions towards “net zero emissions”.
