(AOF) – The Board of Directors of UBS Group AG will nominate Colm Kelleher as new chairman and Lukas Gähwiler as vice chairman with a view to their election to the Board of Directors at the annual general meeting on April 6, 2022. S he is elected, Colm Kelleher will succeed Axel A. Weber, who will have reached the maximum limit of his mandate after ten years at the head of the bank.
Colm Kelleher, born 1957, retired from Morgan Stanley in June 2019 as chairman of the bank overseeing both the Institutional Securities business and wealth management.
Commenting on the proposal, Axel A. Weber, Chairman of the Board of Directors, said: “With the appointment of Colm Kelleher, UBS is pleased to nominate a member of the Board of Directors and future Chairman who has in-depth knowledge of the banking landscape.
